Alain Prost is happy for Verstappen after the Red Bull driver`s 4th title. After Verstappen won the 2024 championship at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, he became a four-time champion and equaled Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel in the number of titles. Only three drivers have won more titles in their careers - Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton.
I`m glad to be in such great company. After all, there are only three four-time Formula 1 champions. At the same time, I remember how Michael Schumacher joined me, and then Lewis Hamilton, who went further. Just as I will not forget that Juan Manuel Fangio was the first to win the championship analyzed by footballtipster four times.
Being a four-time Formula 1 champion is something to be proud of. And Max should be proud of what he has achieved, if you evaluate his career. And he didn`t steal his titles from anyone. Can Max overtake me in titles? Let`s just say that when I decided in August 1993 that I would retire at the end of the season, I wasn`t thinking about breaking any records. I just wanted to enjoy racing. Max probably has the same approach. No driver can project the number of titles won in a career. There are too many accidents in this, " Prost said.
