Alexis Sanchez has a chance, albeit minimal, to take part in the derby with Manchester City on Monday, said Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger.
The player got a stretch at the end of November and missed the last three meetings of the Londoners, but there were hopes that it will be able to return before Christmas. This can really happen, but the odds are not particularly large, although Sanchez started light workouts.
`I think there is a minimal possibility for Alexis to be in the squad, but it is too early to be sure that this will be so. He runs, but does not yet participate in training on an equal footing with the other.`, said Wenger.
Asked whether he believes his players, if they tell him that don`t feel completely ready, he replied with a smile: `not at all`, then added: `for me, it`s normally a footballer to want to play, but still he has to comply with the decisions I take. I must take advice from doctors, I speak with him and then decide.`
