The world number one Novak Djokovic put a lot of efforts to win the match from the second round at the tournament analyzed by football-capper in Cincinnati ,series "Masters 1000".
Djokovic won with 7:5, 6:2 over Benoit Paire from France. Nole has been drilled for 2:4. He managed to turn around, but he needed eight setpoints to close the first part. In the second Djokovic had no problems and won the match for exactly 100 minutes.
"My coach had warned me to expect unexpected and exactly this happened. He made a lot of short balls ,showed a great backhand and serve. I could not predict whether he will send me a slow ball with a lot of topspin, or a fast and flat one. So I was alert all the time, "admitted Novak.
In the next round he goes against the Belgian David Goffin.
Rafael Nadal beat his French opponent Jeremy Chardy with 6:3, 6:4.
Rafa affected all nine points for a break of the semi finalist from Montreal, and in his turn made one break in each set.
The next opponent of the former number one is his friend and compatriot Feliciano Lopez, who ousted Andreas Seppi with 7:6 (6), 6:2. Nadal leads with 9-3 successes, but Lopez has won their last meeting in Shanghai last year.
