Federer has overtaken Murray in terms of popularity in the UK

Roger Federer has been named the second most popular modern athlete in the UK. The survey was conducted by YouGov through a special rating system that searches public opinion of UK celebrities.
The Swiss received 62% approval, while 90% of respondents said they had heard his name. Before Federer, the only four-time Olympic champion in the track and field athletics, Mo Farah, is the overall leader.
The former number one tennis player, however, is the most popular in two of the age group -;after the people born in 1965-1981, and among the so-called Baby Boomers (born between 1946 and 1964). Federer, however, is only third in the millenniums (1982-1999).

The top five in the overall ranking is complemented by two more tennis players -;Andy Murray is in third place with 58% approval, and Rafael Nadal is fifth with 54%. Despite his successes in the second half of the 2018 season, Novak Djokovic is not even in the top ten, and only 41% of millenn ia have a positive opinion of the Serb.
As for the WTA, only the Williams sisters find their place among the top 20 Serena ranks the 15th, and Venus the 17th. It is curious, however, that Venus is the third most popular athlete among the millennia, with only Mo Farah and Andy Murray in front of her.
Despite his fifth Formula One title and British origin, Lewis Hamilton is also out of the box, taking the sixth place just behind Rafael Nadal.

The stars are still waiting for their first season

The pause for the national team matches predicted by soccer livescore is over and it is time to head to the exciting championship matches. Each of them has already played a few rounds, but there are still a lot of world-class attackers who have not yet discovered the season goal. Brand reminds who they are.

The biggest name in the security list is that of Cristiano Ronaldo. The five-time winner of the Golden Ball and top scorer 1 in the Champions League in 7 occasions has three Serie A games that will be remembered mostly by its many flaws. The same is true of Diego Costa, who also has three goals without a goal but in La Liga. 'We are back to Calcio, where the 2015/16 goal scorer Gonzalo Higuain still has difficulty finding his way to the rival door after his first two games with his new team.'

'We are heading to England, where Manchester United City`s new addition, Riyad Mahrez, is still waiting for his debut for the Citizens.' Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil is more concerned about his dealings with the German Football Union and Unai Emery than about his goals, but they are missing. Spain`s brilliant Marco Asensio has three draws and two assists for Real Madrid, but no goals.

Mauro Icardi, who has been in the last seasons with the Inter on the back, is also in a terrible drought. Juventus` jewelry, Paulo Dybala is busy scoring the bench after Ronaldo is in the team, so he does not have time to score goals. From the new Atletico Madrid player, Thomas Lemar has more to do with the hits. Germany`s hope for an attack, Timo Werner, has forgotten what it is like to mark the Bundesliga.

Valencia`s new footballer Kevin Gameiro has played three games without appealing to teammates and fans of the team. Alexis Sanchez also does not justify the high expectations for himself in his first months of Old Trafford. One of the Tottenham stars Christian Eriksen surprisingly has no goal in the four Premier League games for this season.

Where, Coutinho?

Barcelona`s resources increased in the summer, and today the team has a better bench and senior coach Ernesto Valverde can score his eleven-day goals and be more flexible in his choice, especially during matches, as shown inthat for the Super Cup of Spain and both in the new championship. Valverde was able to find different formulas for replacing Neymar and is now looking for solutions to fill the void and leave Andres Iniesta. The variants are so many and different that it is still unclear whether the coach prefers to confuse the opponent or has not yet understood how to combine the qualities of Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho; that is, the two expensive recruits of last season, who have come to replace Neymar and Iniesta on the eleventh day.

The former Technical Secretary Robert Fernandez told BeIN Sports:`I have always thought that Coutinho is Andres (Iniesta). Valverde claimed that Iniesta was indispensable, and Coutinho`s profile was more offensive . A view shared by the Lakers Cullen proponents. In the center it is difficult to get rid of the ball in time and is not oriented in the combinations, but in the defensive phase is late to cover in the transitions.'

In Valladolid on Saturday, however, the Brazilian played as a left midfield midfielder and coaxed a flank with Dembele as a wing. This mix did not work and even prevented Lionel Messi`s appearance, which began on the right wing. As the Argentine moved as a second striker and Dembele took his place to the right, the Frenchman`s goal came;decisive for the success of Barcelona. The variation was already successful against Sevilla for the Super Cup, when a French national`s strike again resolves the dispute.
While Dembele`s ability to enter combinations is controversial, he is certainly a direct and unbalanced rival;an striker who can also live on his own terrain outside Messi`s thick shadow. Strong with both legs, he sometimes confuses himself at the moment of making a situational decision, but on the other hand he easily knocks and scores after recovering from his injury a year ago in Getafe. Valverde chose to wager Dembele and that led to Coutinho`s move to the midfield when it seems that his Brazilian is more cozy in the attack. There he can easily find firing positions, while as a midfielder the verticality in the game prevents him from combining often with Messi and Luis Suarez.

The four attackers find it difficult to find a common language at the moment when Suarez is not in optimal shape after the World Cup. The match analyzed by photos of messi in Valladolid obliges Dembele and Coutinho to be repaired on the same side, all the more so that it limits the corridor to the attack on the left back, Jordi Alba, and rightly looks to cover the huge slums of Sergio Buscakes and, on the other hand, re turnsto the old hot question with Messi`s position. Valverde very keeps in order 1-4-4-2, when his team does not control the ball - this is one of the key game elements after Neymar`s escape.

Ancelotti: 'I understand Mourinho`s reaction!'

Napoli`s coach Carlo Ancelotti gave his traditional press conference ahead of Serie A`s 12th round genoa tomorrow. While talking about the Genoese, Carlo was asked about his view of Jose Mourinho`s reaction after the match according partners of best sport picks between Juventus and Manchester United. The Portuguese allowed himself to provoke the typhoon of the Old Lady after the last signal, and his behavior caused contradictory opinions.

'So far we have done well, but we can do even better. Tomorrow we will have another tough game. We are facing a team that has difficulty but will be motivated. I am happy with what the team has done so far. Tomorrow I expect to show serious attitude because it is always difficult to be motivated against a team that is not the caliber of Paris Saint-Germain!', Ancelotti began.

'Mourinho? It is normal to respond in such a way after being offended for 90 minutes. The problem is in culture. I`m not just referring to Juventus typhus, because things like that happen in Naples and Milan, as well as other stadiums. Let`s experience the sport in a simple and responsible way. It would be great for Italian football if all the Italian teams continue in the next phase of the Champions League!', the coach concluded.

Wavrinka reminded her again of her best shape

Stan Wawrinka played one of his best matches after returning to Tura and managed to overtake Karen Khachanov in a clash with the St. Petersburg Olimpit. Former 3 has placed over the fourth with 7-6 (10) 7-6 (1) in a very valuable match, lasting two hours and ten minutes.

The Swiss entered the meeting very well, as his rival needed for some time. Khachanov led with 30-0 in his first bid but made two consecutive uninvoiced mistakes that led to a reversal and he had to save a break in the second game.
Handle this situation, but at 1-2 lags with 15-40 after a failed lobe and this time failed to get out. He managed to get two consecutive points for a rebrew, but he was not exactly right in his two sights.
Stan played with 5-2 and was only a game of set advance, but the roles at that moment turned. Karen drastically reduced the mistakes as they began to sneak into his opponent`s game. Wawrinka lost two consecutive turnouts to 15, with most of the points coming from his rocket. But when he got the right to serve for winning the first part, Khachanov also entered a hole and gave three points to his opponent -;he reached a tiebreak.

In the crucial game, Stan ran a mini-bar at the first serve of his opponent and reached three sets in 6-3, but in the first two Russians he managed, and the third 88th in the world sent the ball away from the court and the draw was resumed. The two kept a high level in their submissions, and there were no more than 11-10 new mini-guns. But then the fourth in the circuit sent the ball into the net and Wawrinka won the set at his fifth chance -;7-6 (10).
The second part went without breaks, even though both of them had their chances. At 2-2 Khachanov was saved in a tough, long game predicted by tennis predictions with two breaks and in 5-4 failed to materialize any of the two sets he received. Stan could have made a break even in the next game, but he wasted two options, which led to a new tiebreak.

Again, the Swiss made the first stroke and led with a mini-tracking at the first point. With 0-2, Karen took the initiative early and held it to the very end of the game, but his opponent`s defense was indescribable and no new minibank was made. On the other hand, Wawrinka shot a new relentless backhand and led by 4-0, but there was an unprovoked mistake by the Russian who gave him the right to serve for the set. Khachanov replied with a magnificent passing stroke from a difficult position and narrowed the gap before Stan got five matches;6-1. The first one was finished with another classic backhand on the Stan Wavrinka style line;7-6 (10) 7-6 (1).

In the next round, Waurinka is expecting Damir Gumhur or Guido Peya.

Modric:The World is exhausted, I need more time

Last season`s winner Luca Modric has admitted he is not yet in optimal shape. Real Madrid`s midfielder made a very dynamic summer in which he played the final of the World Cup with Croatia. I had only three weeks to rest before the new season. It was the shortest vacation in my career so far. That`s why it was not easy for me to start again with Real. But every day I feel better. I just need more duels to reach my previous level, `said Modric in an interview with FIFPro. 33-year-old footballer was selected as Best Player by both UEFA and FIFA to dethrone Cristiano Ronaldo.

The World Championship left me completely exhausted, the Croatian national continued. `But everybody in my country was impatient in wanting to do something great again like in 1998. And in the past championships via soccer livescore we had strong teams, but things did not happen. And now that we have come to the battle for the title, all these emotions that have been harvested over the years have plummeted upon us. I remember when we returned to Zagreb 7 hours on a bus from the airport to the city center. And we were left with the feeling that it was just half an hour.

Buffon: 'I`m better than I was 5 years ago!'

The legendary Italian footballer Gianluigi Buffon shared his impressions after his first months in Paris Saint-Germain in an interview with 'France Football'. The former goalkeeper of Juventus feels better than ever and ready to face all the difficulties that come out of his way.

'After 40 years in Italy, it`s not easy to change your life. I was a little worried how they would meet me here. Sometimes we build a zone of comfort that makes us refuse the challenges because the news frightens us. But I am in a different opinion. I like to take on new challenges. Like a real monster when it comes to that. I want to face the difficulties and try to deal with them!', Buffon began.

'You may find it impossible, but I have been better since I was 35 years old. I changed my methods of work, but at my age I think it`s all a matter of motivation!', the Italian player continued. Buffon commented on the competition in the PSG team - Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp: 'We will play at least 60 matches by football livescores this season. It is logical to own three goalies, not one. We understand well and we have great relationships. We respect and help!', Buffon finished.
